Understand the metrics
| Metric | Definition |
|---|---|
| Total plays | Started public embed-player sessions. Replays in the same mounted player count as the same play; this is not a count of unique people. |
| Watch time | Time spent playing, excluding pauses, buffering and seeking. |
| Completion rate | The percentage of started sessions that reached the end. For looping videos, the first completed loop counts. |
| Average watch time | Total watch time divided by started player sessions. |
| Playback errors | Unrecoverable player failures reported by the embed. |

Choose an activity metric
In Viewer activity, switch between Plays, Watch time, Completions and Errors. Hover, tap or focus a date to see its value.Compare engagement
Viewer engagement separates plays that reached the end from those that did not finish. The video table helps compare plays, average watch time, completion and errors across videos.Inspect the numbers
Expand Daily activity for a table of dates and values. Dates with no activity appear as zero. The table provides the same information without relying on a visual graph.
Comparisons and reporting limits
Seven- and 30-day reports compare plays and watch time with the preceding equal-length period. Today is still in progress. The 90-day report omits comparisons because activity is retained for 90 days.
Reports are approximate browser measurements. Ad blockers, network loss, page closure and browser restrictions can prevent reports from arriving. They do not determine billed usage or wallet charges.
Analytics uses a random player-session identifier without a tracking cookie. These reports do not provide unique-viewer counts, viewer identities, geographical breakdowns or device breakdowns.
