Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

Lanternaut is a sole-proprietor business operating under the brand name Lanternaut ("Lanternaut", "we", "us", "our"). This policy applies to everyone who uses the Lanternaut Service.

1. Permitted use

Lanternaut is video and image hosting and streaming infrastructure for businesses and developers. Use it only to host and deliver your own video and image content to your own viewers, and only when you have the rights needed to do so.

2. Prohibited content

You must not upload, host, deliver, link to, or promote:

  • Adult content: any sexual or pornographic content, nudity intended for sexual purposes, or adult services. Lanternaut does not allow adult content at all.
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): any such material, or anything that sexualises minors.
  • Infringing content: content you do not have the rights to, including rebroadcasting TV channels, films, or sports events (piracy or IPTV).
  • Illegal content: any content that is illegal where it is uploaded, stored, or viewed.
  • Violent or hateful content: terrorism or violent extremism, content promoting violence, threats, harassment, or hate against people or groups.
  • Non-consensual content: intimate images shared without consent, or deepfakes or impersonations of real people without their consent.
  • Malicious content: malware, viruses, phishing pages, or anything designed to harm devices or steal data.
  • Scams and fraud: spam, scams, deceptive content, or fraud of any kind.

3. Prohibited use

You must not:

  • get around plan limits, billing, or usage metering;
  • create more than one free sandbox account;
  • attack, overload, probe, or disrupt the Service or other users;
  • share, sell, or publish your API keys;
  • resell the Service as your own competing service without our written permission;
  • use the Service from sanctioned countries, or if you are a sanctioned person.

4. Zero tolerance for CSAM

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material or anything that sexualises minors. Such content is removed immediately, the account is terminated, and the matter is reported to the relevant authorities.

5. How we enforce this policy

Uploads are automatically scanned, and reported content is reviewed by a person. If content or behaviour breaks this policy, we may remove the content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate the account. We do not give refunds when an account is terminated for breaking this policy, unless the law requires it. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable consumer law or Paddle's Buyer Terms.
