Copyright and Takedown Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Lanternaut is a sole-proprietor business operating under the brand name Lanternaut ("Lanternaut", "we", "us", "our").
1. Our approach
Customers may only upload content they have the rights to use. We respond to valid notices of copyright infringement and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
2. How to send a takedown notice
If you believe content on Lanternaut infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with:
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
- The exact link or video ID of the infringing content.
- Your name and contact details (email, and phone number if available).
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may delay our response.
3. What we do
We review each notice. If it is valid, we remove or disable access to the content and notify the customer who uploaded it.
4. How to send a counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake, or that you have the right to use it, email [email protected] with:
- The link or video ID of the content that was removed.
- Your name and contact details.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the content was removed because of a mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that the information in your counter-notice is accurate.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We review counter-notices and may share them with the person who sent the original notice. We may restore the content if the counter-notice is valid and the original complainant does not take further action.
5. Repeat infringers
Accounts that receive repeated valid infringement notices are terminated.
6. False notices
Do not send notices or counter-notices that you know are false. Misuse of this process may lead to account termination and legal liability.
7. Contact
Send copyright notices and counter-notices to [email protected].
